Lagos State Office of Works

The Lagos State Office of Works, under the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, is a core establishment of the Lagos State Government dedicated to building, rehabilitating, and maintaining the public infrastructure that powers Africa’s largest city. Our mission is clear: to bridge the infrastructure gap, enhance the quality of life of Lagos residents, and support economic growth through sustainable and resilient infrastructure.

About us

Our Mandate & Responsibilities

The Office of Works is mandated to provide efficient and sustainable infrastructure solutions that serve Lagosians today and tomorrow. Our responsibilities include:

  • Construction and Rehabilitation of Public Buildings across Lagos State.

  • Architectural and Engineering Consultancy for Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).

  • Quantity Surveying, Mechanical, and Electrical Services for government projects.

  • Quality Control and Monitoring of public infrastructure to ensure compliance and durability.

  • Maintenance of Government and Public Facilities, including offices and residential buildings.

  • Research and Development for innovative infrastructure practices.

  • Supervision of Specialized Agencies:

    • Lagos State Infrastructure Asset Management Agency (LASIAMA)

    • Lagos State Materials Testing Laboratory Agency
