The Lagos State Office of Works, under the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, is a core establishment of the Lagos State Government dedicated to building, rehabilitating, and maintaining the public infrastructure that powers Africa’s largest city. Our mission is clear: to bridge the infrastructure gap, enhance the quality of life of Lagos residents, and support economic growth through sustainable and resilient infrastructure.

Our Mandate & Responsibilities
The Office of Works is mandated to provide efficient and sustainable infrastructure solutions that serve Lagosians today and tomorrow. Our responsibilities include:
Construction and Rehabilitation of Public Buildings across Lagos State.
Architectural and Engineering Consultancy for Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).
Quantity Surveying, Mechanical, and Electrical Services for government projects.
Quality Control and Monitoring of public infrastructure to ensure compliance and durability.
Maintenance of Government and Public Facilities, including offices and residential buildings.
Research and Development for innovative infrastructure practices.
Supervision of Specialized Agencies:
Lagos State Infrastructure Asset Management Agency (LASIAMA)
Lagos State Materials Testing Laboratory Agency
